WHEN THE LORD IS TESTING YOUR ETHIC BECAUSE YOU HAVE SO MUCH WORK TO DO, BOTH ACADEMIC AND SOCIAL (FORMAL SHOPPING, GRADUATION PREP, PRESENT ORGANISATION, 18TH BIRTHDAYS OMFG) BUT THE BLEDISLOE DECIDER IS ON. DAN CARTER BE LOOKING ON POINT IN HIGH DEFINITION ON THE TELEVISION SCREEN (lets be real he looks on point both on and off screen, who am I kidding) LORD HELP ME.

I cannot handle this because I want to watch my favourite men slay at Eden Park but I have an overload of commitments. Damn.

It’s such a struggle having to balance school and life and other semi adult decisions like university applications and scholarships and looking at university options in England, when all you want to do is watch re-runs of your favourite shows, curl up with a good friend and chill, watching movies like you used to back in the day (Disney and Pixar with mates back in 03 was the life), read and obviously indulge in your favourite sport.

And I don’t even have exams right now.

The real test of faith will be during the Higher School Certificate, when I’ve got to battle temptations from ALL my TV shows which conveniently start new seasons. EXCEPT PRETTY LITTLE LIARS THANK THE LORDS. Actually no, on a tangent, I’m still reeling from the disappointment that CeCe is A. WTF. In my gut, I still think the over-arching legit “A” is Wren because even though he’s cute and adorable and British, he’s dodgy AF. But still, that A reveal was so crap. I had expectations. 5 years. 6.5 seasons. And that was what I received. I still have multiple questions. PLL made me lose my chill, and I said I would never watch it again, but we all know I’m finishing season 6, and waiting diligently for season 7 praying it’s the last season. Good job Simi.

BUT GETTING BACK TO MY POINT, during the HSC (Mid October – Early November for me), every possible form of temptation will be thrown at me. Hindu festivities, Rugby World Cup, my favourite shows, family and friends. Damn. Praying for myself already haha.

Tossing up between going Luncheon/year 12 formal (or as other people, namely America calls it, Prom) shopping, or doing my economics essay. Nice to see my priorities are set in the right direction post trials.

Damn.

xx Simran
